-an informal group of practitioner stakeholders in the area of pluripotent stem cell production for therapeutic use.
The Forum focuses on the procurement, manufacture and storage of human embryonic stem cells but also considers induced pluripotent stem cells and the manufacture and use of cell lines as advanced therapy medicinal products.

Mission
1. To provide a platform for those working in the procurement, derivation, manufacture, development and management of pluripotent stem cells (the Members) to exchange information and perspectives.
2. To assist Members in establishing agreements on best practice, common standards, joint initiatives.
3. To give a strong unified voice to Members when engaging with regulators, policy makers and standard setting organisations in related fields.
4. To strengthen appreciation for the unique ethical and safety challenges arising in the procurement and production of human embryonic stem cells and to argue for regimes that are specific, sensitive and appropriate to this context.

Membership

1. Membership is open to representatives of UK academic units, Government agencies, private enterprise and clinical groups in the field.
2. Membership of the forum is free of charge, granted at the discretion of the Chair or the Steering Group.
3. Representatives from regulatory bodies and patient representatives are invited to attend meetings and contribute to discussions.
4. Stakeholder representatives from other aspects cell based medicines or outside of the UK are invited to liaise with the Forum.

Governance
1. The Forum is governed by a Steering Group consisting of one representative from each participating institution and the Officers.
2. Officers of the Forum are the Chair, the Vice Chair, the Secretary and the Leaders of specific Working Groups. They are elected by the Steering Group.
3. Working Groups are the constituted for the following themes: Procurement, Quality, Technology. These may be developed and reassigned as deemed appropriate by the Steering Group.
4. Public-facing statements by the Forum only represent those centres or institutions if the authorised representative expressly agrees.
